HANDCRAFTED HERITAGE
Each individual candle from the Danish brand ester & erik is a small piece of craftsmanship. For more than 30 years, they have created candles with care and natural ingredients to achieve the most elegant, high-quality candles. Made from the purest wax on the market, ester & erik candles are designed to burn perfectly—for the benefit of both people and the planet.
HIGH QUALITY
All ester & erik candles are produced at the factory in Silkeborg, Denmark. Here, the entire process takes place—from dipping to coloring and lacquering. The same high-quality raw materials have been used since the company was founded in 1987, consisting of wax, wick, and color of the highest standard. Each candle is made from 100% paraffin, heated without the addition of any synthetic substances. The colors and lacquer are water-based, making them safe for both people and the environment
TRADITIONAL TECHNIQUE
The traditional art of candle making remains at the heart of production at ester & erik. Today it’s complemented by a robot that mounts the wick using a technique that mirrors the way it was once pressed by hand. To achieve the perfect shape, each candle is dipped 24–25 times in hot paraffin—depending on the season and room temperature—a process that takes 4–5 hours. After cooling for two hours, the candles are dyed and optionally lacquered, then left to dry before being carefully packed in FSC-certified packaging.
